slush 2019 printed materials
This was my favorite project during Slush 2019. Since nowadays graphic designers work a lot in a digital environment, it felt super refreshing to do something for print. The neon coloured badges and wristbands looked amazing in the darkness of the event.
I’m one of those people who always saves all of their even badges and wristbands. This was the reason why I always dreamed of designing them myself. When the event attendee gets their hands on their event materials, they get excited. They are now a part of something.
BADGES.
When you see pictures of Slush, you see badges everywhere. The purpose of the badges is actually bigger than you’d think. It shows the other attendees what you’re doing there (if you’re from a startup or from the Slush crew for example) but it also shows the crew what are the event areas you can access. So you stay safe while doing business!
In Slush 2019 there were eight different badges in total.
WRISTBANDS.
In 2019 we wanted to have better wristbands than ever before. Instead of having satin ones, we decided to have softer ones with a clearer contrast in the colors. More contrasty colours showed better in the darkness of the event, still looking badass.
LANYARDS.
We needed to order more lanyards for the event of 2019, and decided to use them for giving visibility for the brand new startup media, Soaked by Slush. The simple, graphic style complimented the badges very well.
+💡
Be it a waste bin sign or a coffee cup, at Slush we had fun with anything we could. And everyone was welcome to share their ideas. So in addition to designing these products you can see here, I also had my word smithing skills in the game. It’s the greatest feeling if your work is able to make others chuckle!
